Sheet Metal Fabricator

MBS fabrication is now taking applications for sheet metal workers for both day and night shift. Applicants must be self-starters and be able to learn and adapt to many sheet metal processes including press work, deburring, cleaning, and cutting. Experience is a plus however we are willing to train. Compensation is based on experience.

Aerospace Welder

MBS fabrication, Inc is currently hiring for the position of aerospace welder for both day and night shift. Candidates will need to be proficient in welding aerospace alloys and will need to pass certification testing necessary in the aerospace industry. Main welding type is TIG welding, both auto welding and manual. Candidates will also be expected to carry out other sheet metal tasks, including grinding, forming, and other fabrication tasks. Compensation based on experience and abilities.

Toolmaker

As a Tool Maker you will be required to manufacture components, assemble tools, rework existing tools, including sharpening, polishing, and building replacement components.

You will also be testing tools to ensure they are functioning properly and assist in the development of new customer products.

Basic understanding of manual and CNC machining is required. Ability to read and understand industrial blueprints is a must. Competent math skills preferred. Willingness to cross-train along with a desire to improve is important. Must be accountable with a positive attitude. Organization skills and ability to handle stress in a fast-paced environment are also necessary.

Our Toolmakers operate equipment including but not limited to:

  • Manual and CNC mill
  • Manual and CNC lathe
  • Vertical lathe
  • Surface grinder
  • Wire EDM
  • Hydraulic presses
  • Brake presses

CNC Machinist/Operator

MBS fabrication Inc is currently hiring for the position of CNC machinist for both day and night shift.

Duties

  • Operate CNC machines to perform precision machining tasks
  • Set up and adjust machine settings to ensure proper operation
  • Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
  • Monitor machine operations and make adjustments as needed
  • Inspect finished products for quality and accuracy
  • Perform routine maintenance on machines to ensure optimal performance
  • Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work area

Qualifications

  • Previous experience operating CNC machines or similar equipment
  • Familiarity with machining processes, such as lathe and mill operation
  • Understanding of logic controllers and their functions in CNC machines
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints and technical specifications

Inspector – Fluorescent Penetrant Inspection Level 3

MBS fabrication, Inc is accepting applications for FPI level 3 operators for our newly installed FPI line. Canidates will be responsible for assisting with initial certifications of the fpi line, designing the proper techniques, and completing the proper paperwork to maintain certifications, as well as training.

Some responsibilities of the job include-

  • Conduct thorough fluorescent penetrant inspections to identify surface defects in materials and components.
  • Utilize non-destructive testing methods to ensure quality and compliance with ASME codes and standards.
  • Analyze inspection data and maintain accurate records for quality assurance purposes.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing teams to implement corrective actions based on inspection findings.
  • Utilize hand tools and measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers for precise evaluations.
  • Stay updated on industry best practices and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives

QC Inspector

MBS fabrication, Inc is now taking applications for an experienced QC/INSPECTION person. Applicants must be willing to work in a team environment with a mind toward quality and organization. Knowledge of measuring tools is a must as well as knowledge in aerospace specs. Requirements for experienced candidates include-

  • Ability to use calipers, micrometers, PI tapes, height gages, and comparators.
  • CMM experience is preferred but not required
  • Good understanding of GD&T and drawing interpretation
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the aerospace sheet metal fabrication field
  • Good communication skills
  • Experience in calibration a plus
  • Must be able to work in a team environment
  • Have good organizational skills with the ability to multi-task
  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs
